Successfully donated my blood for the first time and it's not as painful as imagined! First, there's a small little staple-like poke at the index finger to test whether the iron level in your blood is sufficient. Next will be a small anesthesia jab and the rest is really nothing to worry about because the area where they insert the thick tube to draw the blood is already numb.
The whole blood donation activity took about 20mins including the paperwork & short rest. I think the Blood Bank @ HSA did a great job! They sent a mini bus to pick us to and fro. Throughout the whole process, the staffs were extremely courteous and appreciative of our courage.
Best of all, the sense of satisfaction knowing that someone would eventually benefit from this priceless donation was well worth the effort. Will certainly do it again and I hope everyone would chip in soon. =)
